Ans :The lion was cruel and was very greedy.

Ans :The lion lived in a forest.

Ans :The lion ordered the rabbit that to lead him to that well where another cruel animal lived.

A thirsty crow

One day a crow was thirsty. He was looking for water here and there. Suddenly, he saw a pitcher and flew there. But he saw there was very little water in it. So, he began to think of a plan. He saw some pebbles nearby. He picked the pebbles one by one and put them into the pitcher. As a result, the level of water rose above, and the crow drank the water from it. At last, he quenched his thirst and flew away.

Activity – 7

Write a short story using the following points in about sentences. Try to give a title :

Points: A dog and a donkey travelling together – a basket of bread on the donkey’s back – both feel hungry – donkey eats grass on the roadside – dog asks donkey for a piece of bread – donkey refuses wolf appears – donkey requests dog to stand by – dog refuses – wolf kills the donkey.

A dog and a donkey

Once Upon a time, a dog and donkey were travelling together. The donkey was carrying a basket of bread on its back. Suddenly both the dog and the donkey felt hungry. The donkey began to eat grass on the roadside. But the dog did not eat grass. So, he asked the donkey for a piece of bread. But the donkey refused to give bread to the dog. All at once a wolf  appeared in front of him. The donkey became frightened and requested the dog to stand by him. But the dog refused. So, the old wolf killed the donkey and it its flesh.

Write another story in about 5/6 sentences of the same moral value with a title. You may take some help from the following

points : Jackal came into the city – looked for food – dogs chased – fell into indigo pot – surprised at its look—took advantage – went back to jungle-frightened other animals—cried in its natural voice—animals pounced on it.

Once Upon a time, a Jackal came into the city looking for food. Suddenly, some dogs chased him. So, the Jackal ran away and fell into an indigo pot. Then the jackal’s body colour changed into indigo colour. The Jackal, surprised at its look and he wanted to take advantage of his colour. He went back to the jungle and frightened other animals. But. After some time, the Jackal cried in its natural voice. So, the animals at once recognised him and pounced on him.

Moral: None can befool all.
