The Simple Present Tense Class 3 Worksheet and Answers

The Simple Present Tense Class 3 Worksheet has been prepared entirely for kids aged 8 to 9 years for practice. This will help them to understand the Simple Present Tense Class 3 standard and also be added to the worksheet.

The Simple Present Tense Class 3 Worksheet

We use the simple present tense to talk about-

1. a habit → I wake up at 7 o’clock every day.

2. what happens every day → Ali walks to school.

3. a general truth → The Sun rises in the east.

We use the ‘s’ form of the simple present tense for he, she and it or a singular noun. We usually add -s, -es and -ies to the verb.

 Simple Present Tense: Negative sentences

We form negative sentences in the simple present tense as follows-

We use the form do not + verb with the pronouns I, you, we, they and plural names and nouns.

1. I do not go to sleep at 7 o’clock.

2. We do not play in the morning.

3. You do not listen in class.

4. Alam and Jia do not jog in the park.

We use the ‘s’ form does not + verb with pronouns he, she, it and singular names and nouns.

1. Ravi does not fight with anyone.

2. She does not eat fruits at night.

3. It does not leave at 4 o’clock in the morning.

Note: 

When we write-

we use does not or do not.

When we speak-

we use doesn’t or don’t.

Questions in the  Simple Present Tense

You can ask questions in the simple present tense with-

1. the words is, do, and does. We use the base form of the verb with do and does.

●Is this your pen?

  Yes, it is.

●Does Amit play football?

  No, he does not. /

  No, he does not play football.

2. wh-question words with do and does. We use the base form of the verb with do and does.

●What does he teach?

He teaches English.

●Where do ‘Eskimos’ live?

Eskimos live in igloos.

●When do you wake up?

I wake up at 6 o’clock.
