(3) They will be playing football: In this sentence, the action has not been completed yet. It will be completed in the future time. So, regarding the form of the verbs in the sentence, we can easily say that sentence is in the Future Tense.

Types of Tense in English Grammar

Basically, there are three tenses in English Grammar as far as the action of the verbs is considered. For Example,

Present Tense:

Present Tense describes an action in the present time.

Use of present tense

We use the present tense to express the present time in the following situations.
