A Concrete Noun: A concrete Noun is the name of an object of sense, that is, an object which can be seen, touched, heard, smelt, or tested:

Concrete Nouns examples

(1) Proper Noun: A Proper Noun is the name of a particular person, thing, place, or event. As:

• Saurav was the captain of the Indian cricket team. 
• Delhi is the capital of India.  
• The Geeta is the sacred book. 
• The Bay of Benga is to the south-east of India.
• The Himalayas are to the north of India. 
• India is a populated country.

(2) Common or Class: A noun that is common to any and every person or thing of the same kind or class, is called Common Noun. Here Common means are shared by all. As:

• Man is mortal.
• A dog is a faithful animal. 
• The ancient civilization flourished beside the river. 
• Man can be perfect at reading a book. 
• We should plant more trees. 
• Rose is a beautiful flower.

(3) Collective Noun: A collective noun is the name of a group or collection of persons or things taken together and spoken of as one complete whole.

• The police dispersed the crowd.
• A pack of dogs was chasing him.
• A crowd of people gathered at the fair.

(4) Material or Mass: A Material Noun denotes the matter or substance of which things are made. It is also called Mass Noun. As:

• Wood

• leather 
• rice etc

• The softness of the clouds is nice.
